St Threasa’s is a charming rural primary school located between the scenic Cashel Hill and the picturesque Cashel Bay in County Galway.

Here at St Threasa’s, we create a joyful, caring, and inclusive learning environment where every child is recognised, valued, and supported. Our commitment lies in fostering the holistic growth and well-being of each child through engaging and meaningful learning experiences that spark curiosity, build confidence, and instill a lifelong passion for learning.

We deeply appreciate the collaboration among school, home, and community, believing that this partnership is vital for each child's success. We eagerly anticipate welcoming you and working closely with you throughout your child's educational journey at St Threasa’s!

The Marine Institute

We were delighted to welcome the Marine Institute to the school recently. The children really enjoyed learning about marine life and taking part in the hands-on activities, including using microscopes and getting a close look at different fish species. It was a great opportunity to learn more about our local area and the sea around us. Who knows, we may even have a few future scientists in our midst!

Gleangowla Mines

The Junior Room went to Glengowla Mines. The children enjoyed the sheepdog demonstration. They also went into the mine, where they learned about its history and gained a valuable insight into our local heritage as part of the History curriculum. The day was rounded off with plenty of fun in the playground.

Message from the Principal

Dear Parents & Guardians,

I would like to extend a warm welcome to you and your child to our school.  SN Naomh Treasa (also known as St Threasa's NS) currently has an enrolment of 37 pupils, a staff of two mainstream teachers, one special education teacher, two full-time Special Needs Assistants (SNA) and one part-time (SNA). As a small school, we greatly value the opportunity to get to know each child well and to support them in a caring and personal way.

In SN Naomh Treasa, we strive to provide a happy, safe and welcoming environment where every child feels at home. As a staff, we are committed to working in partnership with parents to ensure each child reaches their full potential in a positive and stimulating learning environment. We place a strong emphasis on the development of the whole child and aim to nurture pupils who are kind, respectful, confident and willing to do their best.

We are very proud of our school and of all our pupils. We are lucky to be where we are, and proud of the warm, friendly atmosphere that exists in our school each day.

Buíochas ó Chroí
